Time Heals Everything

They say time heals all.

Does it heal the bruises of hasty decisions?
The ones that haunt you through day and night reminding you of things done and words said.

Does it heal the loss of unforgettable love?
The one which filled your life with sense and broke your heart short after.

Does it heal the confusion of tough choices?
When you know that either ways you hurt someone and they will never forgive you.

Does it heal the damage of unreachable dreams?
When no matter how hard you try it is just not enough. And you quit trying.

What A Girl Wants

We all are different but it seems we all want the same. So here is my list of what a girl wants.

Warning: Long post ahead.

Fairytale

Ok, the knight in shining armor on a white horse might be a little bit overrated, but it still does the trick. He might wear old jeans and a washed up t-shirt though. We don’t mind. As long as he knows the basic structure of a fairytale.

* We are in trouble
* He rescues us
* We live happily ever after

It Is Raining

It is raining here. I love rains, but they make me think. So I am sitting here. Wondering. Thinking. About what has been. About what will be. Not about what is. I can’t change the past. I can’t control the future. Not now. I can change the present. Today. Or Tomorrow. Or even the day after. I am not sure I want to. I am rather sure I don’t want it. Maybe I should.

It is raining here. You can get outside. Get yourself totally soaked and dance in the rain. You can be happy for a moment, for an hour, for a day. Then you get back to reality. Reality makes you think. Reality makes you choose. And for every choice there is a price. I don’t want to pay the price now. I am not ready.

Have you ever wanted...

Have you ever wanted something so badly that you almost believed it is already yours?

Like when you were a small kid you dreamt of a kitten for your birthday. You counted the days. You knew how much fun you would have with your new pet. It should be a white one. A cute white bundle of joy. You decided to call it Snowy, chose a place for it to sleep where she would roll herself into a ball and make you smile every time you look at her. You imagined how you would go to school and tell all your mates about your new little friend and everyone would beg you to show them your Snowy. And you would choose the lucky ones and bring them home and show them your white love.

And then the Day comes. You wake up, run to the piles of beautifully packed gifts, don’t pay attention to anything. You are searching for her, your Snowy. And she isn’t there. You are disappointed and leave crying. Your parents don’t understand what is wrong. They got the best gifts for you, and yet you left like you don’t care. But how can you explain to them that you don’t need any gifts? You need Snowy. Your Snowy, the one who sleeps nested up to you in the night, the one your friends love so much, the one that scratches your arm to get your attention. The one you never had.

Hong Kong: Some Interesting Facts

Today on The Colors Magazine I present 3 Facts about Hong Kong. Don’t ask me how I have chosen the city for One City - 3 Facts this time, do not really know what hit me that hard that I moved from Europe to Asia. But I must admit it is not that bad a choice.
The official name of the city is Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. I guess you would never have guessed, would you? Even if it is a part of Republic of China, Hong Kong enjoys a high degree of autonomy in all areas except only foreign affairs and defence. You can read more on political set up and history of the city here. Not my task. My task is to tell you about some not so obvious facts of Hong Kong.

You are not alone

Sometimes life can hit pretty hard. You are all alone.
You do not know what to do, where to go, how to deal with this.
You are all confused, lost and tired.
Not able to fight.
Not able to believe.
Not able to hope.
But are you really alone?

And in the End, the Love You Take is Equal to the Love you Make

“How do I know if this is a true love?” Someone asked me recently.

I was confused. Not that I didn’t know what to answer. In fact I answered instantly. I seem to have had the answer for this question since ages. Maybe I knew it all the time. And now was only waiting for someone to ask me.

“If it’s love it’s true,” I answered.

“How do you know it is love then?” I was asked. I really saw it coming. Nobody would just accept the answer I have given.

It got me thinking. I know what love is, I really do. I just don’t know how to express that with words. They don’t seem to be enough. They seem to be shallow and too small to define it. After having written about love for almost 2 years since Tuesday Love Ramblings on my blog were launched I still cannot find the right words to show what love is. Maybe I am not supposed to? I mean, I am definitely not Shakespeare, and he was good, wasn’t he? Romeo and Juliet still makes me cry every time I read it or watch the play or the movie. But even having all the works of Shakespeare available, people still ask what love is. Though, maybe they haven’t read Shakespeare? Maybe next time someone asks me what love is I will send them to the library instead?

My first love - Figure skating

There can not be better sport than figure skating for me. It has it all: beautiful music, grace, artistic impression, passion, emotions, competition. Once you start following it you will not be able to stop. You fall in love with it for the rest of your life.

But even if you like all the skaters, know their names and programs, sympathize with them, you still have few of your favorites and among the many of their performances you can always name few most memorable ones.

Change the World: Update @ The Colors Magazine

21st century.
Globalization. Democratization. Humanization.
Overpopulation. Poverty. Disease. Terrorism.

Where do WE stand? What is our role? What do we want? Who are we and why are we here?
What can we do for the world or rather if the world needs us to do something?

Every single day you wake up; go to school, college, office. You do your home responsibilities, care for kids or parents, have fun with friends or just stay alone.
Every single day you are a small part of this machine with 6 billion elements.
And every single day you don’t care how this machine is working and if one day it just stops and refuses to move any further.
And when you think you can/should/have to change something, a fallacious thought crawls into your mind “Why me? Someone else could do it.”

One Bottle, Two Bottle, Three Bottle

“One bottle, two bottle, three bottle,” Andy counted examining unfamiliar labels.

“Bottles.” Miley corrected.

“What?”

“Three bottles. Plural,” she explained without looking at him. She just had taken up plurals at school.

Andy nodded. He was not going to school yet.

“One bottle, two bottle, three bottle,” he repeated.

Miley didn’t say a word. She was painting. It was one of those paintings where fancy geometric shapes transformed into human figures.

As we grow up things change

As we grow up things change. Life was so much easier back then when scrapes from the bike ride were the worst pain, the worst fight you had was about who would have remote control. Life was so much easier when goodbyes meant “I’ll see you tomorrow” and when no one was afraid to say “I love you”.

As we grow up things change. Or maybe we do. Fading away, drifting with the flow, losing ourselves. Forgetting childhood dreams and old promises. Getting lost in the whirlpool of fake priorities and artificial emotions. We do things because we are supposed to do them. Because someone said so. Because everyone does this. We forget who we are and what we want. We are too scared to follow our own dreams.

Maybe This Time

“My hair is a mess.”

“It’s beautiful.”

“No, seriously, just look at me. The Beast would look a Beauty compared to me.” She laughed.

He looked at her as she asked and could not really figure what her problem was. She was perfect. Her composed face reflected a quiet essence of maturity and confidence. Her blue eyes sparkled with joy and could penetrate deep into his soul and read each of his private thoughts and dreams, except for the ones which he was too afraid to admit even to himself.

Help Required

Dear Friends!

All of you know that couple of months ago I started The Colors Magazine. The site covers different topics starting from relationships, life style, literary fiction and ending with travelling and cooking. As you surely know running a website is a tough task and I need some help from my friends and readers to make it even better for all of us.

These days I am working on "cooking" - section of the Magazine. This section will feature collection of facts of different cuisines and recipes. And that is where I need your help.
If you have some really good recipes, something you would advise people to try, something you are proud of while cooking, please do not hesitate to send it to me. I believe that by contributing to the site each of you could find some benefits for yourself. I promise not only to post the recipe but link back from that post to your site/blog (if you have one), adding some few lines about you and even posting a pic of the recipe's author if you feel like this.

You can mail the recipes to info@thecolorsmagazine.com.
Looking forward to hearing from you and thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Love ramblings updated

Have you ever thought why people want to get their Ex back? And if they actually should? That's the topic which is covered in today's Love Ramblings on The Colors Magazine.

Here is a short abstract of it:

"I could understand why you want to get someone back. You might still love this person. No matter if you hurt them or they hurt you. You are ready to forgive and forget or you are ready to beg for forgiving. Is it worth it? Yes, the history knows the cases when people get married, divorce, then realize their mistakes and get married again. And live happily. Like all the fairytales promise. And you so want to believe that yours is the same case. That once you get back together things will be different and you won’t repeat same mistakes and you won’t ever part your ways again".

Of Crazy Girls

My birthday is on 8th March. Not that I am asking for the gifts, 2 months later, no, I’m not, so you can relax now. It is just my way to start a story about something or maybe SOMEONE special. So, let me continue.

On the 7th March, in the late evening, I was sitting in my room with my laptop, online, chatting with a couple of friends. At 9:30 pm exactly I got a call. More than that it was a call from one of friends I was chatting with. Surprised I did pick up and the first thing I heard was a happy birthday song. It was sweet and cute but a little bit early. Though that friend of mine didn’t actually bother about THAT fact. She said since it was midnight in India it was officially my birthday. I didn’t argue. Nobody would. Especially after hearing the song. We talked for quite some time, can’t actually imagine how much did that call cost her, but for me it was the most precious gift.

The first call on your birthday (which technically still was not my birthday) is always special.

The girl is crazy, I tell you. She is no doubts sweet and cute and lovely... and god, she has such a sweet voice. But she is crazy. She didn’t want my cake. In fact I was ordered to eat all the cake alone because she wanted me to be fat. And she was laughing all the time, which was so contagious that it brought me into a bright mood for the next 24 hours.

She is an angel, I mentioned so many times already that she IS and ANGEL. Whenever she comes online she starts with januuuuuuuu… and after I don’t respond instantly it turns into januuuuuuuuu??? I can practically see these question marks in her eyes, which by the way are very beautiful (the eyes, not question marks). And when I don’t respond after januuuuuuuu with question marks then where are you? comes and after that a lot of waaaaaaaaaaaing. So our chats are usually full with waaaaaaing.

She is the only one who still hasn’t given up on teaching me Hindi. No, don’t expect me to TALK Hindi or even to UNDERSTAND it. But I can curse :D

She calls me names. Maybe only Sami calls me more names than her. But okay, I am not that sweet. I call them names too. They are big dumbis. But everyone knows it anyways.

She is one pure soul. When you meet such people, you don’t let them go ever. You stick to them, hold on to them, you handle them with utmost care and you love them. There are not many out there in these big worlds who are so special, so loving, so caring, so beautiful in all aspects.

I love this girl, she is my friend, my soulsister, my Preetu Sweetu - a Big Dumbi! That’s Preeti’s birthday tomorrow, on the 8th May. And I just want to let her know how much I love her.

"A human or an angel- I am not sure
With a gleaming soul and a heart so pure
Life has been never the same again
Since the day you are eating my brain.
Not just a friend to me your are
But a soul sister- the brightest star.
So very far yet so near
With you beside me I have nothing to fear.
Every happiness you deserve on earth
I want you near me in my every birth.
My prayers with you will remain always
You will be a winner in life’s every phase.
I love you as though your are my eyes
Every day to you my soul flies."

She wrote the poem for me on my birthday, I tried to write better but I couldn’t. I tried to find words to describe our friendship but I always came back to those words of her. I can’t say better so I dedicate that poem back to her.

Love you, sweetheart!
Have a very Happy Birthday!
May you live 10000000000000000 years filled with love and happiness!

PS: eat up all the cake alone and get fat, girl :P

I've Grown Up

When you grow up, you stop dreaming... the child inside you turns into someone you dont know and even not sure if you want to know...

And as the child disappears giving place to another you, your dreams disappear with that cheerful bubbly happy kid...
Some people never let that child go and keep their dreams safe for the rest of their lives...
Some give up on their dreams and grow up accepting the reality.

Don't tell me giving up is easier. For me that's the toughest thing you can ever do. To leave something you love. To let go of the part of you. To accept that some things weren't meant to be.

To grow up.

It does not mean you don't have dreams anymore. It only means you dream on a safer side.
I am a dreamer... But I have grown up. I could say that sucks, but I will say life goes on.

On a brighter note... maybe I haven't grown up.. maybe my child just fell asleep.

PS: I am here and I am fine. Will be back to blogging and bloghopping once I am done with my issues :) Till then, hope things will go great for everyone!

PPS: Tuesday Love Ramblings are on break... till the kid in me wakes up again :)

Colors

Sometimes you need time to think. About your life, your decisions, your choices. You want to figure out what is good and what is bad. You desperately need to know where you stand. You feel like you are losing yourself in this crazy run for nothing. And all you want is just to find some colors in these drab realities of everyday life. You close your eyes to search for them. But when you open your eyes in the full conviction that yes, you finally got it, you know that trees are green and flowers are red, sky is blue and sun is so bright that it makes you happy, when you open your eyes being sure that everything will change now, it does not… all you see is the same dull reality and no colors.

That’s when you want to crawl into your bed, close your eyes and be left alone. Why? Because only then you can fight your own fears and insecurities. Only when the lights go off, you can let your thoughts out and fight with them in the silence of the night. Yes, you might be hurt, a little bruised, slightly broken, and most probably scared, but at the end of the day you still are there. And you still are fighting. And you will wake up the next morning and fight more. And you will get over it and find your colors. You will see that trees indeed are green and flowers are red. You will realize that the sky is blue and the sun is bright. And it will make you HAPPY.

Sometimes you really just want to be left alone. You want to shelter yourself in your bed, wrap yourself into the blanket and get a chance to stay one on one with your own thoughts.

But maybe sometimes we don’t have to think much… maybe sometimes we should just live, cross our fingers and hope for the best.

Love is...

This is a re-post from TLR, modified... scheduled.. And, no, i am not back yet, just could not miss Valentine's Day :)

That's to all of us who love, are loved or will be loved :)

From all the mysteries life has gifted us with love is the most mysterious mystery. Everyone has their own answers to the question what love is, yet nobody really knows.
How many times have you been asked what love is. And how many times have you tried to come up with the answer which could possibly match all the aspects of love. And how many times you had to compromise with the vocabulary that seems not to be enough to be worth the beauty of this feeling. Countless…

From all 6 billion human beings on this planet everyone knows what love is but nobody can explain as it is very different for each one of us. And on the other hand, it is still the same.

You can't explain what you feel when you hear “I love you” said by someone you always wanted to hear it from.
You can’t explain the extent of your pain when you miss someone you love.
You can’t explain why when you are with the one you love time flies faster and when you are without them time goes slowly.

You can’t give the answers about what you feel, how you feel and when you feel it.

Have you ever asked this “How much you love me?” – question? I bet at least half of you did. Silly, isn’t it? Can you answer this one if being asked? The answers you can come up with can be different. “More than anyone/thing else’, “above all”, “unimaginable”, “with no limits”, “a lot”. But what is this “a lot”?

A lot is more then the amount of stars in the sky...
More than the amount of drops of water in the ocean...
More than the amount of money on earth...
More than the number of humans on this planet...
More than infinity...
You get the picture, don’t you? A lot is a lot... it's its own quantity.

The mystery of love continues on all the way through it. Can you explain why you love someone? And when everyone around says you are a little too good for him/her, why you fight and defense and ignore all this and do love them no matter what. What is the reason you love this person? You will never be able to explain; you can say he/she is sweet, cute, caring, loving… and lots of stuff like that. But aren’t lots of other people you meet cute, caring, sweet? Then why him/her? And how do you know this is exactly the right person?

I can’t find a reason why God gave you to me. But that’s not a question to be asked. May be question is how did God know that I needed someone like you.

For all of us love is the biggest happiness and lucky are those who happened to experience it and those who will. We only shouldn’t forget that this mystery is always about risks and it requires you to jump. Don't be a person who has to look back and worry about what might happen, don’t be afraid of the mysterious thing called love as it is there regardless what we want and what we feel. It is just there.

Love is a feeling, not a decision. You can't choose who you love, you can’t give any reasons for that, you can’t understand why they love you .

If you could it would be simpler... but a lot less magical.

There are over 6 billion people on this planet.
Some are coming to the world at this exact moment.
Some are leaving it.
Some are happy and content.
Some are in pain and scared.
Some are on their way to the office right now.
Some are sleeping.
Some are going out for dinner.
Some laugh, some cry, some hate, some love…
6 billion people in the world
6 billion souls
And sometimes, all you need is one...

And sometimes… just right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy-tale.

Happy Valentine's Day! May you always love and be loved :)
