Cat Missing

Around four o’clock that afternoon, I noticed my cat hadn’t been about the house in quite some time. This was not all that unusual since there had been a considerable amount of noise and strangers moving boxes and furniture. I figured that she was simply sleeping in a closet avoiding the bedlam. But dinner time rolled around and still no sign of Jasper...

Want to know what happened to Jasper? Read here - http://www.thecolorsmagazine.com/index.php/2010/02/moving-experience/

How to keep your relationship alive

Have you ever wondered how most of us dream about the same things? We might be different. We might argue a lot. We might fight and try to prove our point of view. But in the end of the day when we go to bed and are one on one with our thoughts and dreams and desires we want the only one thing - admit it or deny it - we want to be loved. And we want to be happy. And somehow one does not go without another.

At the late hour of the night some of us lie there awake dreaming of something they have never had but know exactly what it should be like. They have not yet had this feeling of comfort and calmness love gives you. They have not yet looked into the eyes of their soulmate and have not seen unlimited care and understanding there. They have not yet trusted someone unconditionally. And they have not yet met that one person who can read their mind, answer their questions before these questions are actually being asked. They have not met that person who can bring excitement, happiness, joy in their life. They have not met that special someone who can literally take their breath away just by being there. They have not. But they know they will. They hope, they dream and while they are lonely at this very moment they know very well that it is not going this way forever. Or so they hope.

Time Heals Everything

They say time heals all.

Does it heal the bruises of hasty decisions?
The ones that haunt you through day and night reminding you of things done and words said.

Does it heal the loss of unforgettable love?
The one which filled your life with sense and broke your heart short after.

Does it heal the confusion of tough choices?
When you know that either ways you hurt someone and they will never forgive you.

Does it heal the damage of unreachable dreams?
When no matter how hard you try it is just not enough. And you quit trying.

What A Girl Wants

We all are different but it seems we all want the same. So here is my list of what a girl wants.

Warning: Long post ahead.

Fairytale

Ok, the knight in shining armor on a white horse might be a little bit overrated, but it still does the trick. He might wear old jeans and a washed up t-shirt though. We don’t mind. As long as he knows the basic structure of a fairytale.

* We are in trouble
* He rescues us
* We live happily ever after

It Is Raining

It is raining here. I love rains, but they make me think. So I am sitting here. Wondering. Thinking. About what has been. About what will be. Not about what is. I can’t change the past. I can’t control the future. Not now. I can change the present. Today. Or Tomorrow. Or even the day after. I am not sure I want to. I am rather sure I don’t want it. Maybe I should.

It is raining here. You can get outside. Get yourself totally soaked and dance in the rain. You can be happy for a moment, for an hour, for a day. Then you get back to reality. Reality makes you think. Reality makes you choose. And for every choice there is a price. I don’t want to pay the price now. I am not ready.

Have you ever wanted...

Have you ever wanted something so badly that you almost believed it is already yours?

Like when you were a small kid you dreamt of a kitten for your birthday. You counted the days. You knew how much fun you would have with your new pet. It should be a white one. A cute white bundle of joy. You decided to call it Snowy, chose a place for it to sleep where she would roll herself into a ball and make you smile every time you look at her. You imagined how you would go to school and tell all your mates about your new little friend and everyone would beg you to show them your Snowy. And you would choose the lucky ones and bring them home and show them your white love.

And then the Day comes. You wake up, run to the piles of beautifully packed gifts, don’t pay attention to anything. You are searching for her, your Snowy. And she isn’t there. You are disappointed and leave crying. Your parents don’t understand what is wrong. They got the best gifts for you, and yet you left like you don’t care. But how can you explain to them that you don’t need any gifts? You need Snowy. Your Snowy, the one who sleeps nested up to you in the night, the one your friends love so much, the one that scratches your arm to get your attention. The one you never had.

Hong Kong: Some Interesting Facts

Today on The Colors Magazine I present 3 Facts about Hong Kong. Don’t ask me how I have chosen the city for One City - 3 Facts this time, do not really know what hit me that hard that I moved from Europe to Asia. But I must admit it is not that bad a choice.
The official name of the city is Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. I guess you would never have guessed, would you? Even if it is a part of Republic of China, Hong Kong enjoys a high degree of autonomy in all areas except only foreign affairs and defence. You can read more on political set up and history of the city here. Not my task. My task is to tell you about some not so obvious facts of Hong Kong.

Not able to believe.
Not able to hope.

And in the End, the Love You Take is Equal to the Love you Make

“How do I know if this is a true love?” Someone asked me recently.

I was confused. Not that I didn’t know what to answer. In fact I answered instantly. I seem to have had the answer for this question since ages. Maybe I knew it all the time. And now was only waiting for someone to ask me.

“If it’s love it’s true,” I answered.

“How do you know it is love then?” I was asked. I really saw it coming. Nobody would just accept the answer I have given.

It got me thinking. I know what love is, I really do. I just don’t know how to express that with words. They don’t seem to be enough. They seem to be shallow and too small to define it. After having written about love for almost 2 years since Tuesday Love Ramblings on my blog were launched I still cannot find the right words to show what love is. Maybe I am not supposed to? I mean, I am definitely not Shakespeare, and he was good, wasn’t he? Romeo and Juliet still makes me cry every time I read it or watch the play or the movie. But even having all the works of Shakespeare available, people still ask what love is. Though, maybe they haven’t read Shakespeare? Maybe next time someone asks me what love is I will send them to the library instead?

My first love - Figure skating

There can not be better sport than figure skating for me. It has it all: beautiful music, grace, artistic impression, passion, emotions, competition. Once you start following it you will not be able to stop. You fall in love with it for the rest of your life.

But even if you like all the skaters, know their names and programs, sympathize with them, you still have few of your favorites and among the many of their performances you can always name few most memorable ones.

Change the World: Update @ The Colors Magazine

21st century.
Globalization. Democratization. Humanization.
Overpopulation. Poverty. Disease. Terrorism.

Where do WE stand? What is our role? What do we want? Who are we and why are we here?
What can we do for the world or rather if the world needs us to do something?

Every single day you wake up; go to school, college, office. You do your home responsibilities, care for kids or parents, have fun with friends or just stay alone.
Every single day you are a small part of this machine with 6 billion elements.
And every single day you don’t care how this machine is working and if one day it just stops and refuses to move any further.
And when you think you can/should/have to change something, a fallacious thought crawls into your mind “Why me? Someone else could do it.”

One Bottle, Two Bottle, Three Bottle

“One bottle, two bottle, three bottle,” Andy counted examining unfamiliar labels.

“Bottles.” Miley corrected.

“What?”

“Three bottles. Plural,” she explained without looking at him. She just had taken up plurals at school.

Andy nodded. He was not going to school yet.

“One bottle, two bottle, three bottle,” he repeated.

Miley didn’t say a word. She was painting. It was one of those paintings where fancy geometric shapes transformed into human figures.

As we grow up things change

As we grow up things change. Life was so much easier back then when scrapes from the bike ride were the worst pain, the worst fight you had was about who would have remote control. Life was so much easier when goodbyes meant “I’ll see you tomorrow” and when no one was afraid to say “I love you”.

As we grow up things change. Or maybe we do. Fading away, drifting with the flow, losing ourselves. Forgetting childhood dreams and old promises. Getting lost in the whirlpool of fake priorities and artificial emotions. We do things because we are supposed to do them. Because someone said so. Because everyone does this. We forget who we are and what we want. We are too scared to follow our own dreams.

Maybe This Time

“My hair is a mess.”

“It’s beautiful.”

“No, seriously, just look at me. The Beast would look a Beauty compared to me.” She laughed.

He looked at her as she asked and could not really figure what her problem was. She was perfect. Her composed face reflected a quiet essence of maturity and confidence. Her blue eyes sparkled with joy and could penetrate deep into his soul and read each of his private thoughts and dreams, except for the ones which he was too afraid to admit even to himself.
