It Is Snowing
“It is snowing,” she said.
No reply.
“Seems, it has been snowing all night.” She paused.
Silence.
“Remember, when we met, it was snowing, too. Wind. Frost. You. Looking at me.”
“Mom”, silence was interrupted. “Talking to dad again? He is fine. He is with angels now.”
Crying, she hugged her son.
It was snowing.
And it was another 55FictionSaturdays
And yes, if someone is new to it..
A literary work will be considered 55 Fiction if it has:
Fifty-five words or less (A non-negotiable rule)
A setting,
One or more characters,
Some conflict, and
A resolution. (Not limited to moral of the story)

With a 125 entries in the "Ascension" Short Story Contest, it's understandable that we made different picks. I'll probably be at work when Jason announces the winners. Good Luck!

and thanks for your encouraging comment, I still need to learn and it's nice to know someone reads my work, so thank you!
Hey Lena,
55 words is a cool idea. And going by the 250 word contest, we had, this must be even tougher. But you're very good in this too :).
@ lissa:
you should try this sometimes, it is not as tough as it seems :)
and come on, we all need to learn a lot :)
@ Prashant:
thanks a lot :)
but am not as good as I want to be, a lot needs to be improved still :)
My heart is in my throat as I read this. Well-done.

Very romantic however I am weak at interpreting these things so probably I appreciate it less than the work deserves. Sorry.
Beautiful..Emotional..Touching...
How so few words can say so much....
@ Ropi:
dont worry, a simple read and saying if you like it or not, is enough :)
We all are different after all.
@ Margaret:
thank you :)
Even I wonder how just few words can tell a story :)
Hey where have you been!!!
